Koryn High graduated from Howard University School of Law in 2011.  While in law school, she represented adults charged with misdemeanor offenses in the District of Columbia Superior Court as a student attorney in the Criminal Justice Clinic, and participated in Know Your Rights lectures with high school students.  She received her dual Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy Analysis and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2004. Prior to law school, Ms. High spent three years in Okinawa, Japan as an assistant language teacher at four Japanese high schools.

Mr. Taylor graduated from the University of Maryland School of Law in May of 2011 and was admitted to the Maryland Bar that December. Prior to joining the Office of the Public Defender, he was a law clerk for the Honorable Judge John Hargrove, the Administrative Judge for the District Court of Baltimore City. Before he decided to pursue a legal career, he taught science to fourth and fifth graders in New York City through the Teach for America Program. He graduated from Yale University in 2006. Shomari, originally from Baltimore, is an avid Ravens and Orioles fan and is honored to be a part of the Office of the Public Defender Eastside team.
