Becky Feldman

Deputy Public Defender

Becky Feldman is the Deputy Public Defender for Maryland's Office of the Public Defender.  Her main responsibilities include:

  • Identifying agency resource and technology needs and recommending solutions

  • Tracking and evaluating district and division caseloads

  • Writing and distributing agency internal and external communications

​

Before her work as the Deputy, Becky served as a post-conviction public defender, the Chief of the Post Conviction Defenders Division, and managed the Agency's state-wide Unger litigation.  In 2014, she was awarded the Public Defender's highest honor, the Alan H. Murrell Leader of Justice Award.

Becky is life-long Maryland resident and a graduate of Loyola University and the University of Baltimore School of Law.
